Conduct your Chuppah in Israel,
Rabbi Bandel will turn it into
a life memorable experience
The Masorti (Conservative) wedding ceremony conducted by Rabbi Ehud Bandel combines the traditional style of Jewish marriage with the option to include innovative and creative elements that fit contemporary values.
Thus, for example: the Ketubah (marriage contract) offered to the couple is an egalitarian Ketubah, written in Hebrew (and English) not Aramaic, and the bride too is invited to give a ring to the groom while reciting a verse from Song of Songs such as: “Ani L’dodi V’dodi li” (I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine).
In preparation for the ceremony, the couple meets few times with the rabbi, and together they build the ceremony according to their needs, style and taste.
Upon their request, it is possible to conduct a very traditional ceremony, alternatively, new creative personal elements can be added such as modern readings and good wishes from family members and the exchange of vows that can also be incorporated into the Ketubah.
The Jewish ceremony is valid according to Halacha (Jewish Law) although not recognized by Israeli law. Therefore, it is recommended for the couple to add civil marriage abroad and based on that register as a married couple in the Interior Ministry.
Rabbi Bandel is happy to travel anywhere to conduct your wedding ceremony.
